Content troubleshooting
What to check when a post is not live, publishing is refused, a new collection is missing from the Content tab, or an item changed unexpectedly.
On this page
My post isn't on the site
Open the item in the Content tab and read its status.
- Draft: it has never been published. Click Publish.
- Scheduled: it publishes at the time set in chat. Ask Willo when, or publish now.
- Published + edits: the live site shows the previous version. Click Publish changes.
- Published: give the site a few minutes to rebuild, then reload the page without the cache (Shift-reload). If your business is drafting, the item may be staged on the site draft and waiting for the next site Publish: check the draft preview.
Publishing is refused
"Fix these fields before publishing." means one or more fields hold a value the site can't use, and publishing it would break the site's build. Each problem is shown on its field. Fill in or correct them, or ask Willo to, and publish again. The draft itself is never lost.
Publishing stopped because the page changed
If the same field was changed in the site's code (for example Willo edited the page's text directly) and in an unpublished Content-tab edit, publishing stops rather than overwriting one with the other. Copy your edit somewhere safe, click Sync from site, apply your edit again and publish.
A scheduled post didn't go out
- Its fields may have stopped passing the checks, for example after the collection gained a required field. It stays Scheduled and publishes as soon as they're fixed. Open it and click Publish to see which fields need fixing.
- If the business was drafting at the scheduled time, the post went to the site draft. Publish the site to send it live.
A new collection isn't in the Content tab
A collection appears after the site change that created it has deployed, not the moment Willo replies. Wait a minute and reload. If your business is drafting, the collection reaches the Content tab once the draft is published. Still missing? Click Sync from site.
Willo published something I didn't approve
Autonomous work (the Growth Engine, Agent Programs) only drafts, unless auto-publish is on for that collection under Settings → Autonomy, you scheduled or confirmed the publish in chat, or the work came from a posting task you added to the roadmap yourself. Check the Content auto-publish card, and turn it off if you want to review everything. See Who publishes content.
A post's old address shows "not found"
Unpublishing or deleting an item with its own page usually removes that page; the confirm dialog says what happens to its address in your case. To keep links working, publish the item again, or ask Willo to add a redirect from the old address to the page that replaces it. Renaming a post never changes its address, so a rename is not the cause.
I can't edit or publish anything
Viewers can read the Content tab but not change it. Ask an owner or admin of the business to make you an editor.
Still stuck
Contact support from Help (the ? at the bottom of the left rail), or email support@willo.ai, with the collection and the item's title.
