What a connector can do
What Willo's chat can read and change in a connected account, what it asks you to confirm, what it costs, and where connectors work.
On this page
Once an account is connected, Willo's chat gets the tools that account offers: listing calendar events, reading a document, creating a spreadsheet, searching mail. It picks them up when a request needs them. You don't name the tools; you ask for the outcome.
Reads, writes and what asks first
| Kind of step | Examples | Asks first? |
|---|---|---|
| Read | List events, read a doc or sheet, search Outlook mail | No |
| Create a new file | A new Google Doc or Google Sheet in your Drive | No |
| Change something | Edit a doc or sheet, rename or move a file | Yes, a card to confirm |
| Reach other people | Create or change a calendar event, send or reply to mail, share a Drive file | Yes, every time |
The confirm card names the service and the step, such as "Google Calendar · Create event", and shows what Willo is about to send. Always allow is offered for ordinary changes. It is never offered for steps that reach other people, because a calendar invite or a shared file goes to someone outside the business.
Calendar writes all count as reaching other people, since an event can carry attendees.
After reading outside content
If Willo has read something from outside in the same turn, such as a web page, an email or a document from a connected account, a change that would otherwise run without asking, such as creating a new doc, asks first. Its card says Willo read outside content this turn. Text from outside can carry instructions aimed at Willo, and this keeps them from acting through your account unseen. A change you have already set to Always allow still runs, so grant it only for changes you'd be happy to see made after Willo reads a web page.
Who can use it
Owners, admins and editors can ask Willo to use a connected account. Viewers can't. Only owners and admins can connect or disconnect one.
Every request uses the business's one connection, whoever is asking. A teammate's request reads the same calendar yours does.

What it costs
Each call to a connected account uses a small amount of the plan's credits, like other tools that reach an outside service. The plan's credits are on Pricing.
What Willo can't reach
- Drive beyond the files you choose. Willo's Google access covers only files it creates and files you pick for it, never your whole Drive.
- Gmail. Google Workspace covers Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Drive, and Google's consent screen asks for no Gmail access. The Gmail card shows Coming soon.
- Your password. Sign-in happens on Google's or Microsoft's own page. The access tokens are held by a dedicated token service, and Willo stores none.
