Connect a Google or Microsoft account

Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 to your business so Willo's chat can work with your calendar, documents and email.

A connector gives Willo access to an account you already use, so its chat can read your calendar, draft a document in your Google Drive, or answer from your Outlook inbox. You approve the access on Google's or Microsoft's own sign-in screen. Willo never sees your password.

What you can connect

ConnectorWhat Willo can work with
Google WorkspaceGoogle Calendar, Docs and Sheets, and the Drive files you choose.
Microsoft 365Outlook mail and Outlook calendar, on a work or school account.
GmailComing soon.

Personal Microsoft accounts, Slack, HubSpot, Notion and social media accounts can't be connected.

Connect one

You need to be an owner or admin of the business.

  1. In your business, open Settings in the left rail, then Connections.
  2. Under Accounts — Google and Microsoft, click Connect on the card you want.
  3. Google's or Microsoft's own screen opens. Sign in with the account you want Willo to use, check what it asks for, and allow it.
  4. You come back to Willo on a short "Connecting your account" page, then to Connections, where the card says Connected.

The sign-in link lasts 10 minutes, and the person who started it has to finish it. If it runs out, click Connect again.

You can also start from chat: ask Willo to "connect my Google calendar" and it shows a card with a Connect Google Workspace button.

Try it

Ask Willo something only your account can answer:

  • "What's on my calendar on Thursday?"
  • "Make a Google Doc with the notes from this conversation."
  • "Do I have any unread mail from the accountant?" (Microsoft 365)

Reads happen straight away. Anything that changes your account, such as creating an event or sending a message, shows you a card to confirm first. See What a connector can do.

One connection per business

A connection belongs to the business, not to the person who made it. Everyone who works on the business in Willo's chat uses the same connected account, so connect a shared account, or one you are happy for your team's requests to use. Each business connects its own accounts.
