Agent Program limits
How many runs and how many credits an email or webhook program may use each day, what "waiting" means, and how to raise either limit.
A program that runs on every email or webhook call could run hundreds of times a day if something upstream loops. Two limits per program keep that in check, and both are yours to change on the Agents tab, under the program's Limits.
Runs a day
How many emails or webhook calls the program takes in a day.
| Value | |
|---|---|
| Default | 60 |
| Most an owner can set | 500 |
| All programs in one business together | 300 |
Past the limit, new emails or calls are not run that day, a webhook caller gets 429 with Retry-After, and you get one notice. Nothing pauses: the next day's calls run normally.
Credits a day
The program's daily credit budget. An email or webhook program starts with a larger daily budget than a scheduled one, because it runs once per event rather than a few times a day. An owner can raise it, up to a ceiling Willo sets.
Once the day's budget is spent, new emails and calls wait. They run in order as budget frees up over the next 24 hours. Nothing is lost, the program is not paused, and you get one notice that day.
The Limits row shows what the program spent today and roughly how many runs the budget covers at its usual cost per run.
Waiting events
Each program holds up to 20 events waiting to run. Programs take one event at a time, so a burst queues up. Past 20, a webhook caller gets 429 with a Retry-After of about a minute, and extra email is dropped and counted.
Calls per minute
A webhook URL takes up to 60 calls a minute, and a business up to 300 a minute across all its programs. Faster callers get 429 with Retry-After.
"My program stopped"
Check the Limits row first.
- Runs a day reached. Calls run again tomorrow, or raise Runs a day.
- Credits a day spent. Events are waiting and will run as budget frees up, or raise Credits a day.
- A run is waiting for approval. Scheduled runs are skipped while one waits. Answer it on the Agents tab or from the email.
- The program is paused or a draft. Webhook callers get
409. Switch it on from the Agents tab.
A higher budget spends more of the plan's credits. There is no unlimited setting.
