Get started with content
Your blog posts and other site content live in the Content tab as collections of items. Find it, read what is there and publish your first change.
Willo keeps your site's written content (blog posts, testimonials, FAQs, case studies, anything your site lists) in a content manager, separate from the site's design and code. You write and publish there, and the site picks it up. You don't have to touch code to add a post.
Find the Content tab
In your business, choose Content in the left rail. It is also the Content icon in the toolbar above the site preview.
On the left you see your collections. Every site has a blog; yours may have more, such as testimonials or FAQs, depending on what Willo built. Pick a collection to see its items, each with a status: Draft, Scheduled, Published, or Published + edits.
Make your first change
- Open a collection and click an item, or create a new one.
- Type in the editor. Changes save on their own a moment after you stop typing.
- Click Publish (or Publish changes for an item that is already live) and confirm.
Publishing writes the item into your site and rebuilds it. The change is live within a few minutes.
If your business is drafting changes before they go live, publishing can also stage the item on the site's draft, so it goes out with your next site Publish. The confirm dialog offers the choice. See Drafts, publishing and scheduling.
Or ask in chat
Everything the Content tab does, Willo can do from chat:
- "Write a blog post about our new opening hours, in the voice of our other posts."
- "Fix the typo in the testimonial from Sam."
- "Publish the autumn menu post next Tuesday at 9am."
Willo writes drafts freely. Before it publishes anything, it asks you to confirm, because publishing changes your public site.
Who can do what
Editors, admins and owners can create, edit, publish and delete items. Viewers can read everything in the Content tab but not change it.
