Chat threads

Start a new chat with Willo, find and reopen earlier ones, rename them, and what carries over to a new chat and what starts fresh.

A business can have many chats with Willo. One is current: that's where new messages, approval cards and Willo's work go. The others are kept, and you can read or continue them.

Starting a new chat

Choose New chat, beside the chat's title. A new chat starts with an empty conversation. Nothing is deleted, and everything about the business carries over (below).

New chat waits while Willo is working or an approval card is waiting. You can wait, stop the work and start the new chat, or go to the waiting card first.

When a chat gets very long, Willo suggests starting a new one. Long chats cost more per message, because Willo has more to read each time, and older parts get summarised. A fresh chat keeps it focused.

Finding earlier chats

Click the current chat's title, top left. The list shows the business's chats, most recently active first, with when each was last used and, on a team, who started it. On a phone it opens from the bottom of the screen.

Opening an earlier chat shows it read-only, marked Earlier. From there:

  • Back to current chat returns you.
  • Continue this chat makes it the current chat again, with its whole history, and you carry on where it left off.

Naming

A chat is named from its first message, then given a better name after the first exchange. To rename one, open the list, choose … beside it, then Rename. A name you set is never replaced.

There's no archive or delete for chats.

Shared with your team

Chats belong to the business, not to a person. Everyone on the business sees every chat, and the list says so. If a teammate starts a new chat or continues an earlier one, your view follows them and a short message tells you; anything you were typing stays in the box.

Viewers can open and read every chat but can't start, continue or rename one.

What carries over to a new chat

Carries over: your site and its draft, your documents, the roadmap, goals and decisions, the business's Memory (its context and saved sources), the project journal Willo keeps, connections, Agent Programs, and your credits.

Starts fresh: the conversation itself. Willo doesn't bring a summary of the old chat into the new one.

Asking about an earlier chat

Willo can look things up in your other chats when you ask: "what did we decide about pricing last week?", "find where we talked about the booking form". It reads what was said, not the steps it took, and treats old messages as a record, not as instructions. Only the current chat is in its working memory, so name what you're looking for.
