Every Willo site has analytics built in, with nothing to install. The Analytics view shows the full picture for one business. Visitors and leads explains how each number is counted.

Open it

  1. Open your business.
  2. In the left rail, choose Business, then Analytics. You can also click Open analytics on the Site pulse card on your Overview.

The numbers are read live and refresh every few minutes. In the top corner, on the site now counts visitors from the last five minutes.

Pick a period

Choose Today, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. Today is shown hour by hour. The others are shown day by day, in your own timezone, which the page names next to the dates.

Compare with the period before is on by default. Each number then shows its change on the same length of time just before. "Today" is compared with yesterday up to the same hour. Switch it off to hide the changes and the grey comparison line.

The five numbers

  • Visitors: different browsers that opened your site.
  • Visits: separate trips. A visit ends after 30 minutes with no activity.
  • Pageviews: pages loaded, counting every page in every visit.
  • Bounce rate: the share of visits that saw one page and left. For bounce rate, down is the good direction, so a fall shows in green.
  • Visit time: the average time from a visit's first page to its last. One-page visits count as zero.

Visitors in the total are unique over the whole period. Someone who came back on several days counts once.

The trend

The chart shows visitors or pageviews per day (per hour for Today). The grey line is the period before, laid over the same days, so you can see where the two pull apart. Hover the chart to read both values for a day.

Where visitors came from and what they did

  • Pages. Top pages by views, with how many visitors saw each. Switch to Entry for the page people landed on first, or Exit for the last page they saw.

  • Sources. Channels groups visitors by how they arrived:

    • Search engines, Social, Email, AI assistants (such as ChatGPT or Perplexity), Paid ads, or Other websites.
    • Direct or unknown covers typed or bookmarked addresses, links from apps that don't say where they came from, and many email apps.

Websites lists the sites that sent visitors.

  • Countries. From each visitor's internet connection, so a VPN can move someone.

  • Devices. Phone, laptop, desktop or tablet, plus browsers and operating systems.

Each list counts visitors, and shows each row's share of the period's total.

Leads

The Leads card counts form sign-ups, contact messages and waitlist joins from people outside your team in the same period. Each one is counted once. It also shows:

  • how many leads you get per 100 visitors,
  • which forms they came through,
  • any test submissions from your own team, listed separately and left out of the count.

To be emailed when one arrives, see Notifications.

What's left out

Your own visits while you look at the site inside the Willo dashboard aren't visitors. Neither are automated browsers, or the email security scanners that open every link in a campaign within a second or two. When Willo leaves any of these out, a line above the numbers says how many.

If the line instead says you're seeing raw counts, nothing was left out, so those visits are included. Treat a sudden burst of one-page visits right after you send an email with care.

Google Search Console and Google Analytics

Both show as Coming soon at the bottom of the view:

  • Search Console will show how often your site appears in Google search, how many people click through, and the searches that found you.
  • Google Analytics 4 is for people who already use it. Its numbers will sit next to Willo's, never blended. It counts differently, so expect it to show fewer visitors (see Visitors and leads).

Questions

Does the Analytics view cost credits?

No. It's on every plan, and opening it never uses credits.

Can I connect Google Analytics or Google Search Console?

No. Both show as "Coming soon" on the Analytics view, which lists what each will add.

Why do the daily visitor counts add up to more than the total?

The chart counts each day's visitors. Someone who visits on three days appears on all three, but they're one visitor in the total for the period.
