What Willo remembers
The business context, saved sources and project journal Willo works from in every chat, which of them you can edit, and why a new business starts fresh.
On this page
Willo doesn't rely on one long conversation to know your business. It keeps a few records it works from in every chat.
Memory: context and sources
Settings → Memory holds what Willo always knows about the business:
- Context: a short, always-on summary of the business: what it is, who it serves, how it talks, what matters. Your brand's voice and tone live here.
- Sources: material you've saved for Willo to draw on, pasted as text or added as a link. Willo searches them when they're relevant.
Anyone on the business can read it. Editors and up can change it:
- Generate with AI writes a new Context straight away, from your business's details, site and sources, replacing the current one. Edit it and Save if you want changes.
- Paste text or Add a link, then Add source, to save a source.
Willo also updates these as you work, for example when you tell it something important about the business. A big rewrite of the Context asks you first. If something in the Context is wrong, correct it here. It shapes everything Willo writes.
The project journal
Willo also keeps a short project journal: where the work stands and what has been done recently. Willo keeps it up to date as work happens, so it can pick up where things left off, in any chat. You don't need to manage it.
Business records
Your goals, roadmap, decisions and documents are part of what Willo works from too. You find them under Business and in Assets → Documents.
The current chat
Within a chat, Willo has the conversation so far. In a very long chat, older messages get summarised to make room; the chat's memory gauge shows how full it is. Starting a new chat clears the conversation but keeps everything above.
What Willo doesn't remember
- Other businesses. Each business is separate: its own memory, chats and records. A second business starts with none of the first one's brand, decisions or research. Tell Willo what matters in the new business's chat, and it saves it there.
- Facts about other companies. Willo looks up another company's prices or terms when you ask, and says when it looked, rather than remembering them.
- Old chats, unless you ask. Willo can search your other chats on request, but doesn't read them on its own.
Telling Willo something to keep
Say it plainly: "Remember that we only serve the Bristol area", "Our tone is warm but never cute". Willo saves lasting facts like these to the business's Memory. Check Settings → Memory if you want to see how it was recorded.
