Most lists of "AI business ideas" are either too vague ("AI consulting!") or too technical ("build your own LLM"). Neither is useful for someone who wants to start a real business this year.

This list is different. Every idea here is grounded in what AI tools can actually do today, focused on businesses where the operations are manageable for a small team or solo founder, and realistic about where the revenue comes from.

How to Use This List

Don't just pick the idea that sounds most exciting. Pick the one where:

  • You already have some domain knowledge or experience
  • The market clearly exists (people are already paying for similar things)
  • You can realistically start generating revenue within 90 days

The best AI business idea for you is the one at the intersection of what you know, what people want, and what AI can actually help you execute.

How to Validate Before You Build

Before spending more than a weekend on any of these, do the minimum viable version:

  1. Find 10 potential customers in the target market
  2. Describe the service and ask if they'd pay for it (and what they'd pay)
  3. If 3+ say yes with specificity, try to get one to commit before you have a full product

The ideas that don't survive this step aren't worth pursuing. The ones that do are worth building properly.

Getting Started

Most of these businesses can be launched with under $200 and a few days of setup time. The bottleneck isn't capital or technical skill — it's picking a direction and starting.

If you're using an AI platform like Willo, many of these ideas can be operational within a week: website live, content running, customer intake set up, and agents working on your behalf.

The hardest part is the first step. After that, it moves faster than you'd expect.
