A transfer moves one business, with its site, code and data, into someone else's organization and onto their plan. It's how an agency hands a finished business to a client. The site stays live throughout, and nothing changes until they accept.

Only the owner of your organization can send a transfer, and only the owner of the receiving organization can accept one.

## Before you start

The recipient needs:

- **A Willo account and an organization they own.** Signing up creates one.
- **A paid plan on that organization**, with a free business slot. Each plan includes a set number of businesses; see [What each plan includes](https://www.willo.ai/docs/reference/plans).
- **A plan with custom domains**, if the business has one connected (Builder and up).

Your organization needs to be on Willo's current shared-credit billing. If it isn't, the page tells you to contact support first.

## 1. Send the offer

1. Open the business and go to **Settings → Danger Zone**.
2. Under **Transfer this business**, enter the recipient's email.
3. Choose whether to keep yourself on the business afterwards: don't keep access, or stay as a viewer, editor or admin.
4. Choose **Send transfer offer**.

The recipient gets an email with a link. The offer lasts **7 days**. While it's pending, the Danger Zone shows who it's with and when it expires, with **Withdraw offer**. To change the recipient, withdraw the offer and send a new one; the old link stops working.

## 2. They accept

The recipient opens the link, signs in (or creates an account), picks the organization to receive the business, and chooses **Accept transfer**. A pending offer also shows on their **My businesses** page.

If their organization can't take the business, the page says why: it needs a paid plan, a free business slot, or a plan with custom domains. They change plan and come back to the same link.

Both owners get an email when the transfer completes.

## What moves, and what stays

**Moves with the business:** the site and its domains, the code repository, the backend and its data, the Stripe connection, secrets and stored files, the chat history, and anyone who had access to that one business.

**Stays with you:** your credits, your organization's team, and your billing history. No credits move in either direction.

## What changes for people

- People with access to your **whole organization** lose access to the business.
- People with access to **just this business** keep it.
- You keep the role you chose in step 1, if any.
- **GitHub code access** granted on the business ends; admins in the new organization can connect their own.
- **Agent tokens** for the business are revoked. Agents need new tokens from the new owner.

The business's address on Willo can change if the recipient already has a business with the same name. Its display name doesn't change.

## Changing your mind

Before they accept, choose **Withdraw offer**. After they accept, there's no undo: they would need to transfer it back to you.
