Every Willo business has a real website with its own code, built and hosted by Willo. You see it, and change it, on the **Site** page of your business.

## Where your site lives

Open your business and choose **Site**, the top item in the left rail (the ≡ menu on a phone). It opens on this page by default. On the left is your chat with Willo; on the right is a live preview of the site.

Your site has a free address of its own on `bywillo.ai` from the first build. On Builder and up you can connect your own domain instead.

## Two ways to change it

**Ask in chat.** Describe the change: "add a pricing page", "make the hero shorter", "the contact form should ask for a phone number". Willo finds the right files, makes the change and rebuilds the site. Most changes run straight away; the few that can't be undone stop for your approval. Chat work that changes the site uses credits.

**Use the edit tools.** A small toolbar floats at the bottom of the preview, over your site. Three of its tools save straight into your site, with no credits and no chat turn:

- **Brand**, the paintbrush icon: colors, fonts, logo and corner shape for the whole site. See [Change the design](https://www.willo.ai/docs/site/change-the-design).
- **Edit text**, the T icon: every piece of text on the page becomes editable at once. Edit, then save once.
- **Select**, the cursor icon: click one element, then either edit its text directly (free) or describe a change for Willo (an ordinary chat request).

The fourth, **Annotate**, lets you draw on the page and send the picture to Willo in chat, which is ordinary chat work.

Text edits save only when the words on the page match exactly one place in the site's code. Text with a link or formatting inside it, and text that appears in several places, is left for chat. Ask Willo, and it makes the change.

The edit tools need the editor role or higher. A viewer sees only the Brand drawer, read-only.

## How long a change takes

A change reaches the site through a rebuild, which usually takes two to five minutes. While it runs, the preview blurs. Your site is built ahead of time, which keeps it fast, so nothing on it changes the instant you save. [How your pages are built](https://www.willo.ai/docs/site/how-pages-are-built) explains what that means for data and files.

## Draft or straight to live

How a change goes live depends on one setting for the business, drafting:

- **Drafting off** (the default). Every saved change rebuilds the live site.
- **Drafting on.** Changes collect in a private draft, which the preview's **Draft** view shows. Nothing reaches visitors until you click **Publish**.

[Drafts and publishing](https://www.willo.ai/docs/site/drafts-and-publishing) covers both.

## Undo

Every change Willo, a teammate or you make to the site's files shows in **Business → Activity**, with an **Undo** beside it. See [Undo a change](https://www.willo.ai/docs/chat/undo-a-change).

## What your site is built with

Willo sites are [Astro](https://astro.build) sites styled with Tailwind, kept in a private code repository that you can read on GitHub (see [Your code](https://www.willo.ai/docs/site/your-code)). They stay on Willo: there is no export to WordPress, Wix or Squarespace.
