A collection is a kind of content your site lists: testimonials, FAQs, case studies, team members, recipes, a portfolio. You add one by describing it to Willo. There is no form for building collections, because a collection is part of your site's design as much as its data.

## 1. Describe what you want

In chat, say what the content is, what each entry holds, and where it should appear. The more concrete, the better.

- "Add a testimonials section to the home page. Each one has a quote, the customer's first name and their town. Start with these three…"
- "I want a case studies page, with a page for each case study: client name, the problem, what we did, the result, and a photo."
- "Add an FAQ at the bottom of the pricing page with these five questions."

Say whether each entry needs its own page. Case studies and recipes usually do; testimonials and FAQs usually don't.

If you have the first entries, paste them in. Otherwise Willo writes starter entries from what it knows about your business, and you edit them afterwards.

## 2. Let the site deploy

Willo builds the collection into the site in one go: the fields, the section or pages that show it, and the first entries. This is a site change, so it goes through your normal site flow:

- **Drafting off:** the site rebuilds and the section is live a few minutes later.
- **Drafting on:** the change lands on the site draft. Check it in the draft preview, then publish the site.

## 3. Find it in the Content tab

The new collection appears in the Content tab after the site's deploy finishes, not the moment Willo replies. Give it a minute, then reload the page. Its first entries are there, already published, with an editor for the fields you described.

If it still isn't listed, click **Sync from site**. That pulls in content that reached the site's code, including new collections.

## 4. Manage entries

From now on, the collection works like the blog:

- Add, edit, publish and unpublish entries in the Content tab, or ask Willo in chat.
- Edits to a live entry wait until you publish them.
- Each entry's fields are checked before it goes live.

See [Write and publish a content item](https://www.willo.ai/docs/content/write-and-publish-a-content-item).

## Changing a collection later

To add a field ("add a star rating to testimonials") or change how the section looks, ask Willo again. It changes the site, and the Content tab's editor follows after the deploy.

When fields change, check the existing entries. An entry missing a field that is now required can't be published until it is filled in, and a scheduled entry waits until it is fixed.

If a collection is removed from the site, its entries are kept in Willo and come back if the collection does.
