# Get started with business records

> Goals, the roadmap, decisions, documents and your business context are the records Willo keeps about your business. Where to find each one.

Willo does more than build a site. It keeps a set of records about your business: what you're aiming for, what's planned, what's been decided and why, and the writing it has done for you. Willo reads them to stay consistent from one conversation to the next, and you can read and steer every one.

## The five records

| Record | What it is | Where to see it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Goals** | The few measurable things you're working towards, with progress. | **Business → Overview**, the Active Goals card |
| **Roadmap** | Milestones and the tasks under them: done, in progress, planned. | **Business → Roadmap** |
| **Decisions** | The register of what was decided, why, and what is waiting on you. | **Business → Overview** and **Business → Activity** |
| **Documents** | Strategy, brand guide, reports, proposals and designed PDFs Willo wrote. | **Assets → Documents** folder |
| **Business context** | A short always-on summary of who you are, how you sound and what matters now. | **Settings → Memory**, the Context card |

**Business** and **Assets** are in the left rail inside your business; **Settings** is at the bottom of its top group.

## Where they come from

Your first session with Willo sets most of them up, and what it creates depends on what you're building:

- **A new business:** research, a business model, a brand positioning guide and a mission statement as documents, three or four measurable goals, and a roadmap of milestones and tasks to reach them.
- **An app, or a website for a business you already run:** one brief (a product brief, or a brand positioning guide) and a roadmap. No goals are set, by design. You can add them any time.

Your business context is seeded at the same time.

After that, they change as you work:

- You ask Willo to change a goal, add a task or record a decision, and it does.
- You edit the roadmap and your business context directly on the dashboard.
- Willo's own work updates them: progress on goals, tasks marked as it finishes them, new documents.

## How Willo uses them

Your **business context** is in front of Willo in every conversation, so it never forgets your name, your voice or what you sell. The rest Willo looks up when a question needs it: the goals and roadmap when you ask what's next, the decisions register before it revisits something already settled, the documents when it writes in your brand's voice. When the Growth Engine is on, it picks its next piece of work from your roadmap.
