Every file your business uses lives in one place: the **Assets** tab. Photos for your pages, a PDF price list, a product video, and the reports and guides Willo has written for you.

## Find the Assets tab

In your business, choose **Assets** in the left rail. Files are grouped into folders:

| Folder | What is in it |
| --- | --- |
| **All Files** | Everything below, together. |
| **Images** | Photos and graphics published for your site. |
| **PDFs** | PDF files published for your site, such as menus, brochures and lead magnets. |
| **Videos** | Video files published for your site. |
| **Documents** | What Willo wrote for you: strategy and brand documents, reports, proposals, and the PDFs it designed. |

Search filters by file name and description. Every file can be downloaded.

## Upload your first file

1. Open **Assets** and click upload.
2. Choose an image (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP or an iPhone HEIC photo), a PDF, or a video (MP4, WebM or MOV).
3. Wait for it to finish. Files upload one at a time.

The file is now published: it has a permanent web address, and Willo can place it on your site. Large photos are resized for the web as they upload. See [How Willo handles your files](https://www.willo.ai/docs/assets/file-handling).

## Put it on your site

Ask Willo in chat: "use the photo of the shop front as the hero image on the home page". Willo finds the file in your assets and uses its address. The [step-by-step guide](https://www.willo.ai/docs/assets/upload-and-use-an-image) covers this, including attaching a photo straight to chat.

## Who can do what

Editors, admins and owners can upload, delete and edit. Viewers can browse, search and download.

> **Warning: Published means public.**
>
> Images, PDFs and videos in the Assets tab are published: anyone with a file's address can open it. Don't upload anything private there. For files your site's members upload, or files only some people should see, see [Storage for your site's own uploads](https://www.willo.ai/docs/assets/storage-buckets).
